Meet Melissa
Melissa Tauer, our nurse practitioner at Dr. Avi Ishaaya Centers in Beverly Hills, CA, is thrilled to be working with Dr. Abraham (Avi) Ishaaya. After working as a registered nurse at Cedars-Sinai for five years, Melissa is excited to be working as a primary care provider at this practice. She provides medical care, but she also educates her patients on relevant health issues. Melissa is known to establish a custom treatment plan and continue care for as long as her patients need it.
During her education, Melissa explored her passion for women’s health, working with women in all phases of life. She developed skills in managing sexual health, annual health screening, contraception, and conception. Melissa is certified in maternal newborn nursing, basic electronic fetal monitoring, Nexplanon insertion, and neonatal resuscitation.
education and Certifications
Before Melissa became a nurse practitioner, she studied in Spain at the Universidad de Granada for a Spanish language and culture study abroad. Today, Melissa can speak conversational Spanish. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from the University of Arizona. Then, she completed a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at Massachusetts General Hospital and a Master of Science degree in nursing at UCLA.
